Bird Net solves Wrigley's Pest Bird misery

For years, the Chicago Cubs were unwanted guests Ball Park, the fight against parasites of birds. It was Wrigley Field is an ideal place for birds, generous accommodation, food and an abundant source.
Birds such as pigeons, starlings and gulls were in the park for some time, but there were complaints from fans who called for a real solution.
Gary Hubbard has worked in maintenance operations at Wrigley for the last four years. Gary has seen all sorts of devices to scare away the winged pests. "We have made use of a viscous gel, owls, Sound Devices, and nothing seems to work," said Hubbard of earlier attempts.
Hubbard explained that during the Olympic Games "of pigeons and starlings sitting in the rafters above the upper deck and down on money supply fans, once they left." Some fans seated in the upper deck have been bombarded with bird droppings.
After persistent complaints in the gutter, the maintenance department sought a solution that would ensure the problem once and for all.
Then the name of Bird-B-Gone, a California company, which specializes in the control birds. The team of Bird-B-Gone Bird Net 2000 recommended a heavy net made of polyethylene that prevent birds from entering the area completely rafters.
Bird-B-Gone sales staff explained the importance of environmental change. If the beams have been completed, the birds would not be where Roost. If the place of rest was removed, the birds are not waiting for food scraps. Changing the behavior of pest birds, the most successful approach.
Bird Netting is now installed at Wrigley in recent years. Hubbard said that the net-Bird 2000 "has solved 9/10ths of a bird," says that the use of land gulls in the field during games.
In recent years, Wrigley Field has undergone many changes. In 2005, an expansion project saw the removal of some of the last pieces of the original building. Earlier this year, announced that the Wrigley Field in May changed hands, and gets a new name. If a positive change, Wrigley has now taken into account pest birds on the upper deck.
